Swedien called Jackson “the easiest guy in the studio… always on time… never late.” The specific anecdotes behind that read — the 91-mix “Billie Jean” story, recounted in a Full Sail University lecture — predate Invincible. Included here only as general character context, not as an Invincible-specific account, and flagged as such.

On Invincible, the closest the three of them ever got. ▤
Per ⌜Brad Buxer, this album made Swedien, Buxer, and Jackson closer than any other project — even as Jackson was less present day-to-day. Buxer's line, “the closest I ever was to Bruce and Michael — so go figure,” is his account of his own friendship; the full quote is primary-homed on his page, cross-linked here rather than restated. The Neverland vocal chain Swedien specified (Neumann M149, API/Neve E1073, UREI 1176) is likewise documented via Buxer.

Per songwriter ⌜Richard Stites, Swedien mixed “♪Don't Walk Away” the same night it was recorded — small, but concrete, and notable mainly because it's an Invincible-era fact that doesn't route through Buxer's account.
