A once-repeated claim that Jackson named this “one of his two personal favorites,” paired with “♪Unbreakable,” traces to no real source — it's a misattribution/conflation with Jackson's actual three named favorites (“Unbreakable,” “Speechless,” “The Lost Children”) and is dropped here ■. “YEAH, BUT I STILL NEED HIM TO RAP ON IT.” ■

Jackson tells Jerkins he needs Rod Serling — the creator of The Twilight Zone, dead since 1975 — to rap on the closer. Jerkins first assumes he means a living artist by that name; then realizes Jackson means the Serling. The demand doesn't change. So Jerkins builds a “verse” that never existed, from a voice that could not record one. The full exchange runs in the intercept below.
