⚠︎ THIS SONG DOES NOT BELONG TO THE INVINCIBLE SESSIONS.
"Monster" gets pulled into Invincible conversations because it has a vault/unreleased profile and a Teddy Riley connection. That is the whole basis of the misattribution — and it doesn't hold. It was recorded in 2007, while Jackson was living with the Cascio family in New Jersey — six years after Invincible shipped, in a completely different chapter of his life. It has no documented connection to the Invincible sessions.
It was produced with Teddy Riley for the posthumous Michael album (2010); the 50 Cent feature was added posthumously. It was removed from streaming services in July 2022 amid ongoing controversy over whether the vocals are authentically Jackson's.
>> THE STORY :: WHY IT'S FILED HERE (AND WHY IT ISN'T OURS)

01
2007
Recorded in 2007 — the Cascio era, not the Invincible one.
Cut while Jackson was staying with the Cascio family in New Jersey — six years after Invincible. Different period, different sessions, no documented link to the album this site is about. The vault/unreleased vibe and the Teddy Riley name are the only reasons it ever gets mistaken for an Invincible outtake.
02
2010
Released on Michael, with 50 Cent added.
Produced by Teddy Riley, Eddie Cascio, and Jackson himself; written by Jackson, Eddie Cascio, and James Porte. Issued on the posthumous Michael album (2010). The 50 Cent feature was a posthumous addition. All of this belongs to the Michael story, not this one.
03
07.2022
Pulled from streaming amid an authenticity controversy.
Removed from streaming services in July 2022 amid ongoing controversy over whether the vocals are authentically Jackson's. Noted here only so the misattribution and the controversy don't get quietly imported into the Invincible record. This file exists to close the question, not to open one.
