Confirmed background vocals: ⌜LaShawn Daniels, Mischke Hudson, and Nora Payne — a vocalist Jerkins brought into the Darkchild circle around 2000. A settled credit, not a guess.

Not a “known rapper” — a baritone from Jersey. ▤

⌜Fats was chosen precisely because Jackson did not want a known rapper — a New Jersey artist in Jerkins' circle, picked for a contrasting deep baritone. After Jackson heard him on the title track, the two agreed to also cut “Heartbreaker” together. His rap verse was recorded separately by engineer Bob Brown at Darkchild Studios. ■

Fergie is not on this track — or the album at all. ■

A widely repeated claim puts ⌜Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) on “Heartbreaker.” No liner note, interview, or primary source of any kind places her on Invincible — anywhere. It is false. Her actual documented Jackson collaboration is the 2008 “Beat It” remix.

The reviews ran cool. ■

Contemporary critical reception was tepid: Rolling Stone's James Hunter (Dec 6, 2001) named it — alongside “♪2000 Watts” — generic. A published review, not a fan roundup.
